Off-peak the journey is 40–50 minutes. On weekday mornings between 07:30 and 09:00, and on Friday afternoons from 15:30 onward, traffic through Crawley on the A23 can add 15–25 minutes. Arriving at the Correct Terminal
Gatwick has two separate terminals — North and South — each with its own entrance and drop-off forecourt. They are connected by an inter-terminal transit shuttle, but walking between them with luggage is not practical. Confirm your terminal from your airline app or boarding pass before your pickup. We head directly to the right one.
The £10 Gatwick Drop-Off Charge — Already Included
Gatwick Airport charges every vehicle entering the terminal forecourt drop-off zone. The current charge is £10 for the first 10 minutes, rising to £1 per additional minute up to a cap of £25 for 30 minutes. ANPR cameras record entry automatically, and payment must be made online by midnight the following day — failing to pay results in a £100 Penalty Charge Notice. Your confirmed £65 already includes this charge. Gatwick Airport's official transport page confirms all private hire vehicles are subject to this fee without exception. Drop-Off at the Terminal Entrance
